2023 Reflections

2023 is a milestone for Cross Timber Pointers! It is our 20th year of raising premium Elhew puppies that are focused on the Elhew lines that make above average grouse dogs. It has been a learning process and we are now consistently producing puppies that make true grouse dogs.
2023 also is the 50th anniversary of the first bird season with our first bird dog. Yes we have been chasing the king of game birds a long time! And we know a few things about true grouse dogs.
2023 is not just a year of reflections but another year of plans for a couple litters:
1. Cross Timber Elhew Explorer X Cross Timber Elhew Charm. This litter was actually whelped Dec 10th 2022 and ready to go Jan 2023. All have been placed!
2. Select male sire to be determined X Cross Timber Elhew Arashi. Arashi has been bred 5 times to Cross Timber Elhew Explorer and has been a tremendous producer of grouse dogs.
2023 we continue to feature at stud Cross Timber Elhew Explorer the best producer of natural above average grouse dogs that we have seen. He is a Grouse Champion Elhew Explorer son, and his mother is a Elhew Distinction daughter. He has been bred 12 times to six different females and has over and over produced great litters.
